BAE Joint Strike Fighter
BAE had been using competitor systems to provide testing, but required a system with Automatic Programme Generation, a facility that itself saved up to four months of planned test programming time within the development programme.
MK Test’s Special Projects team developed a bespoke trolley format for the testing equipment, to meet BAE’s specific physical needs on the factory floor of the production facility, enabling the equipment to be moved around more quickly and deployed more efficiently.
The MK Test equipment is now specified for all relevant suppliers across the Joint Strike Fighter programme.
The success of the Automatic Programme Generation system led to the team being put recognised with the BAE Chairman’s Award.
Test system is a Distributed System.
