Carl Bullock

Position: Managing Director

Carl is delighted to have been handed the mantle of MD in 2015, and working closely with co-founder Mike Threlfall is using his 33 years of experience to provide customers with on-going high quality service and products. During a 24-year career in Rolls-Royce, Carl worked his way from engineering graduate to Director of Component Repair Services. With his subsequent roles as Global Services Director at Premium Aircraft Interiors Group and Global Operations Director with Smiths Detection his unique and well-rounded experience has brought him through the doors of MK. Carl is now leading the MK team and focused on growing the company’s sustainable legacy through the development of new products and systems and close working partnerships with our customers.

Alan Wilson

Position: Engineering Director

Alan is very excited to be joining MK, after an engineering career spanning more than 30 years in a variety of Aerospace and Defence companies, having gained fellowship of the IET and an MBA. His experience ranges from very small to large global enterprises, bringing broad experience and expertise. His electronics career started at Westland Helicopters developing Avionics for the Merlin. Then working in a small dynamic business taking test equipment products for military projects, civil aircraft and ships through the full engineering life cycle. His subsequent roles encompassed advanced sensor systems for Armoured Vehicles at Avimo and Thales, before consultancy roles at Atkins, including Chief Engineer on a major Army vehicle programme. Alan now plans to use his experience to develop appropriate and relevant processes for MK to grow efficiently and productively.

Outside of work Alan enjoys travelling and trying to keep fit walking, swimming or cycling.

Jason Evans

Position: Sales Director

Jason joined the team at MK in 2002. Although he started his career in oil and gas as a process and product design engineer he quickly found his niche in Technical Application and Sales management. Now with 22 years’ experience in the Aerospace, Defence, Oil & Gas, and Rail sectors, Jason particularly enjoys working with customers to build their technical and commercial cases for new projects.
An Engineer at heart, Jason has an in-depth knowledge of the function and applications of the MK product and is never happier than when helping our customers with testing requirements. Supporting and assisting is also in Jason’s lifeblood outside work as a RLSS Surf Lifesaving Trainer , and when he allows time for himself, he pursues a number of sporting interests including cycling, swimming, golf, and surfing.

Hugo Aniksztejn

Position: Sales and Marketing Support

Hugo arrived in MK in December 2014, with an international business background and a six month period as an intern in Thales Alenia Space in Germany. During this time he not only studied business in France and Scotland, but also worked as sales support on a satellite space project. Specifically this was to improve air transportation through the fitting of the space-based ADS-B into a new satellite constellation, built by Iridium. These experiences were a great basis for Hugo’s arrival and contribution to customer projects at MK. When he isn’t working, Hugo is a keen snowboarder and plays as a prop in the 1st team for the Bristol Aeroplane Company (BAC RFC).

Graham Andrews

Position: Sales Manager, UK and Northern Europe

Graham joined MK in 2012, responsible for sales within the UK and Northern Europe. He has been actively selling into Aerospace, Defence and Manufacturing companies for over 20 years, and has built up an enviable knowledge of our customers and a deep understanding of their needs. Graham is entirely focused on our customers’ best interests and makes sure that we keep that focus. During his career, he has sold a wide range of solutions to clients, which include Engineering services, Design Automation / CAD and CAM, Product Lifecycle Management solutions, and ND Test services. This has given him an in-depth knowledge of the whole manufacturing process from design through to test.

Andy Bannell

Position: Service Engineer

Andy found his home at MK in 2015, after 13 years working in the service industry ranging between in-house and customer based solutions as a service engineer supervisor and project engineer. Andy gets great satisfaction from being able to troubleshoot any issues for our clients, and seeing projects through from cradle to grave. Working as a part of a team is important to Andy and within a very short space of time at MK, realised that he was part of a friendly and professional group that has our customers’ interests front of mind. When he’s not at work, if he has a new tech gadget to explore or an engine strapped to him, he‘s happy, and these can be on anything from a TT, MotoGp or British Superbike. He is also very useful at social functions as he is a lead singer of a Rock Band (MAD 42).

Jo Bimson

Position: Senior Design Engineer

Jo joined MK Test Systems in August 2000. Previously, he worked in the manufacturing industry as an electronic design engineer, and the NHS as a Medical Technical Officer, developing new test methods to improve efficiencies for preventative maintenance. At MK, Jo has provided key input to many test solutions, mainly for the aerospace sector, from schematic, PCB and mechanical design through to project management. In his free time, Jo enjoys the outdoor life when he also indulges his love of motorcycling, and on returning home his other passion, cooking.

Steve Edwards

Position: Software Developer

Steve has spent the last 15 years working in IT, mainly in software development. Steve cut his professional teeth in the Royal Navy as an electronics/weapons engineer on the Sea Harrier fighter jet, at RNAS Yeovilton and on the carriers HMS Invincible and HMS Ark Royal. At MK Steve develops programmes related to the testing of electrical/electronic systems mainly within aircraft, but which can be used on almost anything with electrics, including trains and cars. He has a specialist knowledge of the Automeg application and helps our customers with bespoke functionality and modifications on often complex and long-term projects, the latest of which has been developed with Airbus. Steve is also our expert at developing software programmes that read and interpret our clients’ testing data.

Giuseppe Prisco

Position: Electronic Design Engineer

Giuseppe joined MK Test Systems as an Electronics Design Engineer in September 2013. He attended Manchester Metropolitan University to complete a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. After his studies, he worked for an electronics company for nine years testing and designing PCB’s for borehole seismic monitoring for the Oil and Gas sector. During his career, he has focused his attention on analogue/digital design, system design, writing firmware in C for microcontrollers and PCB layout. This has led him to work on the design of two exciting new projects for MK; A battery powered portable unit designed to test bonds on aerospace engines and airframes, and the next generation of MK’s flagship automated cable tester, the AutoMeg. Giuseppe enjoys spending time with his family, watching rugby and running, including completing a local half marathon in a respectable time!.

Daryl Manley

Position: Service Manager

Daryl has been with MK since June 1999 when he arrived as our technical support engineer. With a career in the electronics industry spanning over 25 years, Daryl’s expertise as a calibration and test engineer was developed with equally pioneering companies that included Thales and Messier Dowty. Since being at MK Daryl has been responsible for providing technical support on a number of exciting projects for some of our high profile customers, including GE, Airbus, Boeing and his former employer, Thales. He particularly enjoys working with sales colleagues in the MK team and running training courses with customers where he gets the opportunity to excite them about our range of test equipment and be challenged by their questions! Daryl also loves the outdoors and regularly walks and cycles. When it’s raining he’s partial to visiting B&Q and keeping up with the DIY.

Liz Robson

Position: Production Manager

Liz joined MK Test Systems in 2002 after spending several years in media sales and marketing with GWR and previously as area manager for a division of the Burton Group. At MK in her role as production manager, Liz makes sure that components are in the right place at the right time at the right cost and that customers’ orders are correct and on time. She is also responsible for the smooth running of MK day to day, which involves organising re-builds to purchasing stationery as well as overseeing our team and training needs and making sure that our on-site visits run smoothly. Surprisingly, Liz does have a bit of spare time and she is currently converting a VW panel van to a T5 camper van at the same time taking care to grow her shoe & handbag collection!

Mark Sanders

Position: Production Engineer

Mark joined MK Test Systems in April 2012 having spent the previous 24 years working for Thales Optronics in both production and product support roles on military land and air systems. He started his professional life as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice with Avimo Ltd in 1987. He decided that this was the life for him and went on to further engineering education before moving in 2000 to work on-site as a member of a major defence project team. Mark has been a keen motorcyclist his entire adult life and also likes to build and fly high-performance model aircraft.
